Terms of Use for SmartContacts AI

Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using the SmartContacts AI mobile application ("the App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on any Apple device you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.

2. The Service

SmartContacts AI helps you organize, clean up, and protect your address book: duplicate detection and merging, phone number normalization, business card scanning, URL/phishing risk analysis, and related tools. Certain features are available for free; others require a SmartContacts Pro subscription or lifetime purchase ("Premium Features").

3. Subscriptions and Purchases

SmartContacts Pro is offered through the following in-app purchases, billed via your Apple Account:

  • Weekly subscription — auto-renewing
  • Monthly subscription — auto-renewing
  • Annual subscription — auto-renewing
  • Lifetime — a one-time, non-renewing purchase

By purchasing a subscription, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Payment will be charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew for the same duration and price unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your Apple Account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price you agreed to at purchase.
  • You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal at any time by going to your Apple Account Settings after purchase. Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription.
  • If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase the associated subscription.
  • The Lifetime purchase is a one-time payment that does not renew and grants permanent access to Premium Features on the Apple Account used to purchase it, subject to these Terms.
  • All payments are processed by Apple. Refunds are handled by Apple according to its own policies — we do not process payments or refunds directly.

4. Your Content

The App accesses your device's Contacts, and optionally your Camera or Photo Library, to provide its features. As described in our Privacy Policy, this data is processed locally on your device and is never uploaded to our servers.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: reverse-engineer or decompile the App except as permitted by law; use the App for any unlawful purpose, including sending unsolicited communications; or attempt to circumvent Premium Feature restrictions.

6. Third-Party Services

The App displays advertising via Google AdMob. Your use of the App is also subject to Google's applicable terms for these services, in addition to these Terms.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App and delete it at any time; this does not automatically cancel an active subscription (see Section 3).

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We do not guarantee that duplicate detection, phone normalization, or URL risk analysis will be error-free or complete — the App's assessments (including "risk" scores) are informational aids, not guarantees of safety or accuracy.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA OR CONTACTS.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Frequently asked questions How do I enable call blocking? Go to iOS Settings → Phone → Call Blocking & Identification, then enable "SmartContacts AI".
